Whiteface Lake Placid is the winter sports capital of the world, two-time site of the Olympic Winter Games and World Cup events. Whiteface Mountain and the Lake Placid Olympic sites have what it takes to excite skiers and non-skiers alike. Whiteface provides 283 acres of skiable terrain, 86 trails, off-piste double-black diamond wilderness terrain skiing on "The Slides" (conditions permitting), 53 acres of glade skiing and 11 lifts. Experience the greatest vertical drop (3,430 ft.) east of the Rockies at one of the Adirondacks' legendary High Peaks! After a day of skiing, experience Lake Placid’s #1 ranked off-hill activities and Olympic athlete training sites and museum with your Olympic Sites Passport or explore Lake Placid's quaint main street full of locally-owned shops, pubs and restaurants.  Whiteface Lake Placid is the ideal place to experience all winter has to offer. We'll stay at the High Peaks Resort-Lake House, located in the center of the village overlooking Mirror Lake. All rooms have a private balcony or patio with lake or mountain views. There are two indoor pools, two whirlpools, exercise room, nightly Happy Hour and live entertainment in the Dancing Bear Lounge. Village activities and nightclubs are located within walking distance.

EPSC Winter carnival events include: Friday 27th Welcome reception includes appetizers, complimentary beverage followed by cash bar; Race training, run the gates; Optional Bobsled rides. Saturday 28th EPSC Inter-Council race, private dual GS course, dinner/banquet: vintage ski sweater-themed ball and awards ceremony followed by 3-hour party, cash bar, and DJ entertainment. Each person will receive an event commemorative gift!
