Current Volunteer Opportunities
Hersheypark Volunteers Needed:
Hershey Park will be opening for the 2026 season starting Friday, April 3 through May 21 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. However, shifts are still available at the Giant Center for ushering (e.g. Bears games, Disney on Ice, special events, etc.) and to work food and beverage service at several of the food stands around the Giant Center concourse. For each shift worked, you can earn 1 to 2 vouchers for admission to Hershey Park (good for 18 months from the issuance date). SSC receives $8 for each hour you work. SSC donates half of the monies earned to charity such as The Central PA Food Bank, Wounded Warriors Patrol, etc. To participate, contact Lovena Nickle at lovnic53@comcast.net or 717-541-8803. You will need to provide an email address for Lovena to communicate with you regarding open shifts. Weekend Rides & Hikes Weekends are a great time to get out and enjoy the great outdoors with some awesome folks. Weekly rides often include an easy ride, moderate ride and occasionally some fast road rides. Even if you haven’t cycled since you were clipping baseball cards to the bike, or are into a walk/hike with other like-minded people, come join the group. Contact Mike Gavin at emailriders1@comcast.net for a schedule of the weekly bike rides or hikes and to be added to Mike's weekly email updates. If need be, recommendations can be made to obtain a cost-efficient, entry-level bike. |
